Words are powerful. They can dehumanise people. Using these words suggest you ascribe the inherent value in the word on the people you describe. Words have their meaning, so it actually doesn’t matter if you “didn’t mean it like that” If you said the room was “Really Hot” we would infer from that there was a high temperature. You can’t say you didn’t mean it like that to say you actually meant it was too cold.
