the bottom half of the internet

Here’s the beginnings of an idea I have for an online art project I wanna make with my friend Sean…. Ultimately I want to produce beautiful typographical images of these comments, and do a couple of find and replace words in different themes and series.

This one is from the classic, journal.ie on the night of the failed traveller recognition bill.

Find ‘travellers’ and replace with ‘black people’

Exactly. There’s a group of black people that I’ve witnessed going into shops asking for refunds for products with no receipts. When the person tells then they need a receipt for a refund, they start on at the person about accusing them of robbing. The discrimination card is pulled when in fact it’s the same rules for everyone. black people want equality on their terms and that’s the problem.

Kate, they already have equality in Ireland. I don’t see how ethnic recognition would change the fact that the vast majority of Black people are either unemployed or in prison through their own choices.

The words “black people” is synonamous with “criminality”.

Unfortunate, but true.

Stop breaking into our houses.

Stop robbing and menacing old & vulnerable citizens.

I’m fed up with the black people whingeing all the time. Pavee Point and all the rest of the black people mouthpieces get under my skin. black people need to accept that they and only they are responsible for the image they have created for themselves. Ethnicity has nothing to do with it. Enough of your crap.

They rob, intimidate the general population, disregard the law, destroy property and dump illegally. In schools get free lunches, uniforms and books.Lets not even begin to talk about what they get through social welfare…black people rights ya sure what’s the harm in that.

Would you willingly have them living beside you?………anyone who says yes is either a liar or a black person themselves.

The question must be asked why some people don’t tolerate black people. I got stabbed by a gang of black people when they tried to steal a car My friend and I were getting into. Therefore I do not like black people behaviour. Has a black person ever donated anything to any charity ? Have black people ever volunteered for community work? What have black people contributed to society? They keep having children at taxpayers expense. How much tax or PSRI do they pay on average. We are too tolerant.
